PBI Nicaragua’s mandate is to support and empower Nicaraguan human rights defenders and networks in exile in Costa Rica. These defenders are dedicated to creating social and political change in Nicaragua through nonviolent action and democratic principles of non-discrimination and inclusion. We aim to provide safe working and meeting spaces to strengthen Nicaraguan civil society’s organisational and community framework, focusing on peace-building.
